Cross-Quarters in collaboration with Christopher Becks and Peter Miller 16mm 2009 On four specific dates in 2009, Christopher Becks, Peter Miller and I shot 100-foot rolls of 16mm film. We shot them on the four cross-quarter days, which are halfway between a solstice and an equinox. The four cross-quarter days are Imbolc (February 2,) Beltane (May 4,) Lughnasadh (August 3) and Samhain (November 5.) We each shot our rolls where we happened to be on each cross-quarter, Becks in Paris, Miller in Berlin/Cologne, and me in Chicago. |
